 A. Participation (time on task and effort) (10%)

 B. Assignments (50%) Most assignments consist of textbook work and programming projects and are graded on a scale of 0 to 5 with total earned points divided by total possible points determining grade.

 C. Tests  (40% )

The grading scale is the traditional 90 – 100 A, 80 -- 89 B, 70 --79 C, 60 – 69 D, 59 and below E.

Semester grade will be the average of three marking period grades and the semester exam with the exam counting ½ a marking period grade. Ordinarily, the semester determination will be based on the average of letters grades.  However, if it becomes apparent that student has stopped performing during the 3rd marking period, then percentage grades will then be used to determine semester grade.
